"I waited patiently in the Lord, and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry."
In this age of instant gratification when everything moves too fast, if we slow down, chances are we will get run over. We don't have time for anything and everyone is in a hurry. Unfortunately, most of the time, this is also passed on to our spiritual life. If we find time to pray, we watch the clock afraid we'll be late for work, or school; we rush our prayers in expecting immediate answers. Most of the time God is treated like a fast food drive through restaurant where we can simply put our order in and move on with our lives. Remember the saying: "good things come for those who wait"? Rushing God to answer our prayers only interferes with His plan for our lives and, almost always, we have to go back and start over, thus delaying what God had already prepared and would have granted to us at exactly the right time. Patience is produced by the Presence of the Holy Spirit, it is the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22). Therefore, if we want to possess this virtue, we must seek God.
By being filled with His Spirit, this fruit will be formed (produced) in us through faith, and we will learn to wait.
Dear Father, may we always thirst for your presence. May our intimacy increase until the fruit of patience is born in us. Let us say as the Psalmist says:
"I waited patiently with the Lord." I acted with patience in what I could not change..."
May God grant us the faith it takes to rest in Him which will make us calmer, more understanding, and more tolerant.
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power...
...BUT AS FOR YOU, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of..."
2 timothy 3
Dear brothers ans sisters, the days are not the same. We sure experience prosperous and happy days, but also, we are faced with days of sorrows and afflictions. Paul was warning Timothy of such days and urged him to stay strong, unmovable, and not to participate in the world's evil lusts and desires. It's easy to follow along and become indoctrinated with teaching, philosophies, and even spiritual practices that have some form of godliness, deceiving- if possible, even the elect. Remember what Jesus said: "your mistake is that you don't know the scriptures". Therefore, If you don't stand firm for something, you will fall for anything. Be an immovable rock! ..."But as for YOU, continue in what you already learned"!...There is nothing new under the sun. The enemy can only twist truth. Be not deceived.
"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him".
Friends, faith insists on believing! There is no irreparable damage for God. The resurrection power is transformational, and it wants to meet you where you are. The Bible says in Proverbs 10 that "the hopes of the godly will be granted", why trust in anything else that only promises material things but can't save your souls? He wants you to trust in Him for without faith it's impossible to please God. Trust Him with your affliction! Don't join the world in their ways and beliefs. Let us say to the Lord: "Though none go with us, we STILL will follow."
"Therefore, "Come out from them and be separated, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."
2 Corinthians 6:17
Make no mistake, if you believe the whole book, they will say you are brainwashed and that you live in a tight box full of rules and regulations to follow; but if you open the Bible and pick and choose what to believe- which is what has been happening a lot theses days- then they will call you a hypocrite. You can't win with the world. Therefore, make a decision to follow, even when you feel you are the only one.
"The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him". 2 Chronicles 16:9
The troubles of the last days will not shake those who are grounded in the ROCK! Abide in Him, for without Him you can do nothing! Learn the scriptures, pray, meditate on His word day and night. Be ye separated! Your reward is in heaven! Eternity is only a few years away, for many it's sooner than later. Refusing to believe or even consider what's to come is foolishness. The world needs you to stay firm. They will look at you for help when, in the middle of the storm, you are the tree that doesn't uproot. Your leaves may shake and fall but your core is grounded, strong, immovable, nourished and thriving! Be wise, vigilant, and prepared, for the great day of the lord is eminent!
"Blessed are those who trust in the Lord. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8
"A person finds joy in giving an apt reply--
and how good is a timely word"
We thank you, Father, for allowing us one more day. May we live it with gratitude and joy. Lord, pour out of your Spirit and anoint our lips, making us ready to bless, to prosper, and edify those around us. A word spoken at the right time, how good it is! It is like the balm of Gilead, which lifts up the downcast and heals the wounds of the sick. How many hearts carry bruises and scars inflicted by words spoken to them. May God keep us from hurting or hurting someone else. May we be wise and ready to listen and slow to speak. Words are able to edify as well as destroy.
"The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences." Proverbs 18:21
Therefore, may God give us discernment to use the right words at the right time. Let them come out from our lips to bless and encourage, to bring peace, love, and comfort, even if they are used to rebuke and correct in love. May we be instruments in the hands of God to speak life.
Keep us, Father, from being the cause of intrigue and strife. Let us remember:
"Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent" Proverbs 17:28. May God bless us as we pray:
"Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips."
psalm 141: 3
Check out this awesome song!
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in Spirit and in truth.”
There was a gathering in the school's open-air tent. It was a time of worship and praise. We were just outside of the tent listening. "What do you think of when you hear the word "worship?"", asked the teacher.
"Singing, hymms, prayers, words of praise..." These are outward forms of worship", he said. "That's how worship gets manifested. But, what's the heart of worship? I'll give you one definition. It's found in the New Covenant Scriptures. It appears only in Greek, and it's the word PROSKUNEO. And do you know what that means? It means to kiss. True worship is to kiss." Now, what does this reveal to us? What is a kiss?"
"A kiss is the most intimate of acts. Therefore, worship is to be the most intimate thing you can experience. To worship God is to kiss God? In the spirit realm, yes, to kiss Him from your heart, from your innermost being. Not because you have to but because you want to. True worship is never done by compulsion, but freely from the overflow of the heart."
"Think about this", he added. "Why does one kiss? A kiss is an expression of joy. And conversely, kissing brings us joy - by worshiping we make the heart of God glad.
So, true worship is an expression of joy. Our joy becomes worship and our worship becomes joy.
"How about love?" A student asked. Don't we kiss because we love?"
"Yes!, A kiss is also an expression of love"
So what then, is to worship in spirit and in truth? Worship is an expression of love and joy. It is expressed when we can no longer contain these feelings in our heart. Worship is as simple as kissing God out of love.
"Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before him all the earth." Psalm 96:9
Draw near to God through worship, in love and joy, experiencing the deepest of intimacy.
"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”

“Arise, my love, my beautiful one,
and come away,
for behold, the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land.
The fig tree ripens its figs,
and the vines are in blossom;
they give forth fragrance."
Songs of Solomon 2:10-13
Oh Lord, what a wonderful message! So full of life and hope! It is able to penetrate our hearts and renew us!
Dear ones, there is no winter that lasts forever, just as there are no afflictions that do not pass away! As the wise man Solomon said: "Everything has its appointed time, and there is time for all purpose under heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1
Today we receive a beautiful and inspiring message: It's time to sing! Let us rejoice and live, for spring is here! It's time for renewal. Let nothing or nobody steal the joy of the Lord in you. Let's sing a new song! Let's celebrate victory and freedom! Let's be made new and whole! May everything contrary to joy be cast out and completely expunged from our souls.
Dear Lord, let us see the sun of your victory breaking through the clouds; the desert be wet with dew; the flowers bloom with vigor and freshness, and the birds sing new songs! Let us hear your voice and be reborn with renewed vitality and strength. Help us to climb out of the darkness of cold nights into a dazzling new day.
"But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall." Malachi 4:2
I encourage you to make a new commitment to the lord. Decide to read His word daily; begin your days with Jesus, everyday, and watch Him make all things new in your life. Set goals and intentions asking Him to bless your plans and ideas. I pray the Lord give you a renewed mind and a deep desire for Him. Take this time of renewal and bloom - again-
Good morning, beloved of the Lord,
"O my soul, wait only on God, for my hope is from him. Trust in him, O people, at all times; Pour out your heart to him; God is our refuge."
Sl 62: 5.8
-Here is an exhortation from the psalmist David, warning us to trust in God alone.-
Father, we want to start this day by pleading for your intervention in our lives; give us discernment, prudence and wisdom. In our eyes our trials seem impossible to overcome, but with You anything is possible.
Look at the immutable Rock from which flows the living water that refreshes and satisfies our spirit. Be silent and see the greatness of the mighty God; of the Lord of Hosts who is always ahead opening paths, breaking down walls, and battling our enemies. Say to your own soul: Be silent! Do not worry yourself within me, that you may see how great, how Mighty the Lord is.
"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14
Dear sister, be still! Release the reins you're still holding on to and see for yourself what Jesus will do. In times of trouble we will have tranquility, because we trust the One who is directing our steps and renewing our strength. Put Him first in you life by daily seeking Him. It's a daily thing.
In the morning when we rise, let's say to the King:
Lord, I give you my life, I trust in you. I pour our my heart in your presence. Change me, use me, guide me into becoming all you created me to be, hide me under the shadow of your wings, and keep me there forever.
These reflections are written by my mom, then translated and edited by me. But, sometimes, God changes the whole thing. 😊
Thank you mom, for being such a dedicated servant of Christ, and for the example of faith you show us each and every day.
